has revealed intentions to switch the company's recognizable blue bird emblem for the letter "X," adding yet another modification to the platform.

Since Musk's purchase of Twitter last year, these modifications represent some of the most important improvements to the social media network. Given that Musk sees the platform as a super app that provides a variety of services, including as online banking and video chatting, it appears to indicate a new path for the platform.

Social media experts are doubtful of Musk's "everything app

Twitter's new logo is slated to be sleeker and on par with the futuristic style of Elon Musk's other business ventures, Tesla and SpaceX. But social media expert Jennifer Grygiel is skeptical that Musk can create an innovative Twitter as the re-branding suggests.

According to Jennifer Grygiel, a professor at the University of Syracuse, Elon Musk may face challenges in gaining enough trust from Twitter's user base to encourage them to conduct financial transactions or link their accounts to any financial institution within his app. Grygiel believes that Musk's previous decisions, such as removing blue checks, firing numerous Twitter staff, and reinstating problematic accounts, have damaged Twitter's integrity and may have negatively impacted user confidence.

Jeffrey Blevins, a journalism professor at the University of Cincinnati, shares a similar view, stating that Musk's actions have disappointed a significant portion of Twitter users to the extent that a rebranding alone may not be sufficient to improve the situation.

Both experts seem to imply that Musk's past actions on Twitter may have caused some users to lose faith in the platform, making it challenging for him to build the necessary credibility and trust for his envisioned "everything app."
